Lex Xandret was born on Nar Shaddaa to unknown parents who eventually gambled their son away to pay their debt to a local Hutt crime Lord. The hutt had Lex join one of his crews to take care of various jobs for him. This taught Lex to survive in the criminal society of the Smugglers Moon, obtaining moderate skill with a polearm and minor skills with a blaster pistol.

During one of his latest jobs, Lex encountered a ship from which he attempted to steal supplies, he however was caught by the Jedi that was pioting the vessel. This Jedi, sensing the force in the boy, decided to forgive him on the condition that he’d escort him back to the Jedi Praxeum on Rannon.

Oblivious to his force sensitivty, Lex has never believed in The Force and to the point of his arrival at the praxeum he still does not. He regards historicly known Jedi as fairy tale figures and thinks the Jedi are religious extremists. The only reason he decided to comply with the Jedi’s demands was so that he’d get offworld for at least once in his life.
