Little is known of the Chiss homeworld, Csilla. Locked in an ice-age for millennia, the entirety of the surface is covered in snow and ice, with all eight-billion of the population living in underground warrens within the planets crust. The planet is believed to have entered its ice age as recently as 5000BBY.
Csilla is believed to have been settled by ancient Human settlers who found themselves in the Unknown Regions during Coruscants earliest colonisation efforts. While this is a theory that even the Chiss themselves support, there is little evidence to support it.
Csilla serves as the political and cultural capital of the region of space known as the Chiss Ascendancy, home to the Ascendancy’s government aswell as the great ‘Expeditionary Library.’
With the Chiss people’s long-standing xenophobia and isolation it is a world that very few outsiders have ever seen.
