Far far away from the bright blinding lights and towering skyscrapers of the core worlds, populated with only a few the planet called Vunak. The planet’s society made up of many tribes. One of these tribes known as the ‘Ka’ tribe; Well known to be battle-hardened and put through vigorous amounts of training. On top of that one of the only tribes to force their young through the Scarification Ceremony which was heavily looked down upon by neighboring tribes. Though among these battle-hardened – bred child soldiers was a young boy. Xayr’ka Atreus different to those around him. He took on silver eyes, a clear distinction that made him not a pure Vunakian.

His mother Ulora, a slender and cunning Sorrusian who had met his father Sevrin’ka. A towering bald man with broad shoulders and a long beard. They met on board transport shuttle 917264 on course to the core worlds. There and then Sevrin’ka managed to convince the Sorrusian to return to his homeworld of Vunak where a couple years down the line Ulora would give birth to a boy who they named Xayr’ka Atreus; he held a quirky personality – He was curious and was often the first name to be shouted whenever mischief was in the air. Though it’d be quite apparent that he was only seen as a nuisance within the tribe the elders and his peers still held deep passion towards him as he always smiled even through the worst.

When Xayr turned six it would be his turn to follow in his father and older tribe member footsteps and take on the Scarification Ceremony; it was gruesome and painful though he simply gritted his teeth and stuck through it as Vunakians were known for there high pain thresholds. The simple carvings on his body similar to the ones of his father would make him an official member of the ‘Ka’ tribe. Now an official member of the tribe he’d take up duties that came with being a full member. Though young, Xayr was already known within the tribe to have great potential as a member of the tribe though there were whispers that floated around that the boy could possibly be force sensitive. This deduction was made by some of the members who had Xayr shadow them while out on the hunt. It was reported back to the elders that while on the hunt the group were split up by a pack of Voritor Lizards.

Xayr being obviously frightened, he opted to run for his life before he was then intercepted by one of the Lizards who had followed closely behind his trail. Voritor Lizards are known for their quickness when on the attack and this particular Lizard wasn’t having a good day. It charged at full speed towards the child. Xayr thinking it would be the final seconds of his life let out a scream. K’loren the tribe member who had reported the incident saw the Lizard travel quickly through the air before hitting a tree, falling dead. It was this incident that would change Xayr’ka Atreus’s life.

A few cycles later there was an unexpected knock at the door. Xayr being the curious child was headed downstairs to see a large robed man with horns poking out his head, a Zabrak. Next to him another robed figure, a yellow-skinned Twi’lek. Jedi Knight Umra Ko’ren and his Padawan Learner Shesha. The Jedi Knight talked with a deep voice “Come with us and learn the ways of the Jedi, young one”. Xayr only being six at the time and not really having a choice in the matter left with the Jedi.

Years down the line. Xayr struggled with adapting to his new life as a Jedi Initiate. Coming from such a primitive world to the technological advanced Ilum Temple. As for his training, he often fell behind his studies and struggled a lot with Saber Arts. Which subsequently led to his failure within the Initiate trials. With the news of his failure, Xayr was at an all-time low. Believing that the path of a Jedi wasn’t for him. As time went by Xayr had lost faith even in himself when he thought things couldn’t get any better Jedi Master Kelia Loraz had taken an interest in the young Vunakian and took him on as her apprentice.

Due to Kelia Loraz’s position within the Ilum Branch, most of Xayr’s training was conducted within the walls with her. It’s over the next couple years that Kelia Loraz would mold Xayr into a strong diplomat. Relying more on his ability to talk his way out of a situation than his blade to cut through a problem. The two would go on many adventures and would Xayr would gain many chances to use his skills in negotiation.

After 13 years and three rotations of training, Xayr was knighted in the presence of the Illum Council. Xayr would continue his duties and dive into the field of research, adding to the archives, even serving some time as one of the archivists there. Though after a while Xayr sought something different which led him to request a transfer to the Rannon Praxeum.
