346.29 // Imperium on Jondora

Ripples have been felt across the Greater Plooriod System in recent days following the revelation of Imperium support and endorsement on Jondora.

At the beginning of the cycle, the Jondoran planetary council voted on the course of action for the planet, settling on remaining within the Republic in a 55-45 split. Local reports indicate raucous outrage from several City Councillors and a few isolated incidents of rioting in the cities of Klio, Ivorin and Doorne following the decision.

Following a standard diplomatic encounter earlier this cycle, the involvement with the Imperium came to light, with evidence of branded supplies and troops in several regions across the planet. Many of the accused Councillors involved immediately stepped down and their positions remain empty.

In a statement today, the Jondoran Council announced that it will decide the matter internally and asks the Republic Senate to not escalate the situation into starting a direct conflict in their territory.

346.25 // Imperium Retreat From Moltok

moltok

The Republic has officially declared the Imperium forces on Moltok defeated after the destruction of one of the Sith’s key military strongholds. While Imperium ships were detected fleeing the system, officials are still counting this as a major blow to the enemy.

The Republic has confirmed all prisoners in the stronghold were evacuated before it was destroyed, revealing that the Imperium base on the planet also acted as a prisoner of war camp. The Republic is currently amid processing all those rescued and returning them to their loved ones or home worlds.

Republic officials have thanked intelligence provided by the Jedi Order for the success of the operation. The intelligence was said to include a full and comprehensive read-out of the stronghold, which proved essential.

The news of this defeat on Moltok comes after a series of retreats made by the Imperium in the Kwymar sector. This shows that the Republic is slowly regaining territory.

346.16 // Vigilante Justice?

A surprising story from Corellia, where rumor has it that vigilante justice has been handed out over the past few cycles. The newest report dates from 344.14 ABY at approximately 0400 GST in the morning. An officer with CorSec was first responder to a scene that was later described as ‘grizzly at best.’ Witnesses initially alerted security when a firefight broke out between local gang members. While forces were scrambled to contain the violent outbreak a new report came in of a masked individual entering the premises of the facility, and leaving soon after it had become quiet.

Sources within CorSec have rumored that the cause of death of a number criminals was attributed to plasma burns not conforming to standard blaster technology. One mentioned the possibility of Jedi involvement. No statement has been made about the names of the deceased, but there are reports that almost all casualties were members of the Meatlump or Ragtag gangs. A Captain Obtario, a twenty year serviceman to CorSec commented:

“I’m a huge fan of the Jedi. They’ve often been a boon to the security of our planet over the centuries, and I look forward to working with more of them. Yet we cannot overlook the possibility of unsanctioned involvement. While do not condone actions these criminals have committed in the past, our justice system allows them all fair trial. The culprit will be found, and brought into custody as soon as possible.”

345.20 // Ketaris Crowns New Queen

ketaris

We’re reporting from the Royal Palace in the heart of the capital city of Ketaris. Today has seen a spectacular celebration as the planet welcomes the ascension of Queen Malia to the throne, the youngest Queen in royal record. The joyous scenes we’ve been seeing in the plaza today have been a rarity on Ketaris since the beginning of the war, with Imperium troops causing havoc in the smaller settlements. Today also celebrated the life of the previous King and Queen, whose lives were tragically ended in a transporter crash some days ago. Ketaris’ ministry has blamed the Sith for their deaths and revealed evidence that it was in fact an assassination.

The newly crowned Queen Malia promised stronger partnerships with the Republic in hopes to rid the Imperium from her homeworld once and for all. She had the following to say:

My mother and father’s death will not be for nothing. They will be avenged and the Sith will see that the people of Ketaris are not so easily broken.

Strong words. Queen Malia’s transformation from a reserved princess to a leader is becoming quite clear to us all.

345.17 // Edusa Liberated After Successful Operation

edusa

This just in; the planet Edusa has officially been liberated from Imperium control, with forces retreating from the region. This has come as a result of a successful operation which saw orbital strikes carried out on several key Imperium outposts, effectively destroying all of their most fortified strongholds on Edusa. The operation left their forces scattered and desperate to flee from the planet.

Commander Wels Conraide, who led the operation, has thanked the Jedi from both Ossus and Rannon, who have been key to the success on Edusa. He also proceeded to thank Republic Scientist Amara Lox, whose work on developing new grade shield generators is said to be the reason for the success of the orbital strikes. Conraide had this to say;

As well as the Jedi, I’d like to thank my personal friend Doctor Amara Lox, whose technology allowed our pilots to resist the firepower of the enemy more effectively and carry out the operation safely. Her creation is what we owe for this victory.

Republic forces remaining on the planet have begun a relief effort to rebuild and fortify the planet. The Sith have officially been pushed back further into Northern Space.
