Master Zayelt served in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant for most of her life

Synyc Zayelt, one of the most esteemed and long standing Masters of the Coruscant High Council, joined the Force today after finally succumbing to an unknown illness that she had battled for three years. Medics say that while they are still awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine the precise nature of the disease, they suspect that her death was related more to the failing immune system of the centenarian Jedi Master than to the actual effects of any infection.

The Yuzhan Vong flagship vessel Mithra-Strohna has disappeared on it’s maiden voyage into the Unknown Regions. The research vessel boasted several thousand crew from various Vong caste’s including ‘Warriors’ and ‘Shapers’ alike. The vessel’s construction was authorised under the Galactic Alliance treaty and it’s mission was simple, to seek out new worlds and resources.

Coruscant – The Galactic markets will likely experience temporary losses during the next two quarters, followed by a period of prolonged economic growth, says Mr. Klaob, the presiding chairman of the Bank of Coruscant. “The recession, as we know it, will probably end by next year”, he said, but quickly added that though he believed the data “firmly supported this conclusion”, he was “cautious” to warn that it will be many years before the economy would be fully healthy again.

CORELLIA – Inner Rim diplomats expressed concerns today as the space debris crisis worsens rapidly. While Strategic Space Maintenance (SSM) teams have been deployed to capture some of the rubble, experts say that over ninety percent of it has been broken down into such fine quantities that it is difficult to detect, let alone clean up properly.
