Over the last year the Wyld Empire has been laying siege to planets inside their growing sphere of influence. The planets of Svivren and Skynara have seen the full brunt of their military blockades until recently.

Jedi led operations on Skynara have provided humanitarian aid to the suffering populations of the occupied world, while a Jedi led strike team on the flagship in the blockade of Svivren disabled the vessel in question, allowing the planetary security fleet to rout the aggressing fleet after the destruction of the flagship.

In these operations some sensitive data has been discovered. This reporter has been authorized to share some details that were recovered and made public just today.

The Wyld Empire has four main combat groups. Two naval battlegroups and two army groups. Each is commanded by a force-using ‘Wyldling’ as they’ve been dubbed. Each army group is attached to one of the naval groups and have been mobilized to open two fronts in opposite directions, eastern and western. The commanders of the Eastern Front are Admiral Vehmens and General Truculen while on the Western Front the commanders are Admiral Kerudelys and General Inestima.

With the setbacks of occupying Svivren and the continued partisan movement only gaining strength on Skynara, the Empire has opened up its two fronts and have used their trademark tactics to stomp down ill-defended independent planets in Wild Space. They’ve made startling gains in their Eastern Front as they quickly toppled Drexel, Dom-Bradden, Ryloth, and Wrea. Meanwhile, the criminal haven Socorro has descended into civil war. Criminal Syndicates and Mob families have banded together to make alliances, half desiring to voluntarily join the Wyld Empire for profit while the other half desire to maintain their ‘independence’ and run their criminal empires without influence from a strong, established occupying government.

While there have been some critical victories made against the expanding rogue state actor, the military capacity and aptitude of their war machine cannot be more clear. More on this developing conflict as it unfolds.

Officials move to assist as a starcruiser supposedly lost within The Cloak nebula emerges after approximately thirty years.

The Cruiser is owned by Dagrin Varo, a former minister of Ryloth’s Ruling Council and one of the only non-Twi’leks of history to hold the position. Varo is remembered for his ideas of radical reformation and distaste for what he perceived to be the shortcomings of the Galaxy’s social structure.

His views threatened to create upheaval on our world and Varo was forced to resign by his counterparts on the Council. Boarding this vessel with his family and those close that would go with him, Varo and his kin departed into the treacherous region known as The Cloak and were never seen again. Until today.

Insider reports suggest that the population of the vessel greatly expanded during its absence from the Galaxy and that those aboard were under the impression that they were the sole survivors of some kind of Galactic-wide apocalyptical or societal collapse. The kind of event that Varo seemed to almost fancy during his time on the Council. Minister of Security Auruq had this to say:

“It is an unprecedented situation,” the security Minister admitted, “and [the Ministry] are uncertain on whether or not former Minister Varo’s actions constitute criminality. For now, we will do the best we can to help those people aboard.”

Small detachments of outreach and social specialists have been sent aboard the vessel to assist in slowly reintegrating them with society.

We hope they proceed cautiously, as it is rumored that one of their populants was responsible for a deadly blasting at one of the Ryloth Security Force’s lunar outposts. More on that story as it comes…

It’s been several weeks since the opening salvos of the ascendant Wyld Empire’s surprise attack versus the independent systems in Wild Space. Alzoc III continues to be under cruel occupation, a media blackout accompanied by a strict blockade has meant we have no new information about what life is like on the ice-world under Imperial Occupation.

The second target of the Empire was the Jedi hospital facility on Cotellier. The small orbital defense fleet of a Golan I platform, one XQ defense platform, and two defensive frigates were completely outclassed by an unknown configuration of capital ship and a number of destroyers. Initial casualty counts from the defenders ranges from 5,500-8,000 dead or missing.

A heroic defense led by Jedi forces based out of the Rannon praxium held the line, leading a coalition force of security personnel from many surrounding systems, long enough for all of the civilian population inside the medical facility to evacuate. The majority of the planet’s population was unable to make it to evacuation sites and are now under occupation just like the situation on Alzoc III.

Seeing these opening, brutal, attacks many systems have already openly declared their surrender and their planetary governments have abdicated power to Imperial Governorships. These planets include: Maryx Minor,Vestar, and Suarbi. The planetary system of Skynara was invaded and its government easily swept away by the overwhelming forces of the Empire. Initial reports, howerver, indicate that a scrappy and tenacious group of partisans on the planet’s surface have been spearheading a resistance movement to occupation.

In contrast to these systems who have folded under the intimidation of the Empire, the planetary system of Svivren has maintained its long legacy of holding as a redoubt versus foreign invaders. Their planetary defense systems have not destroyed any Imperial vessels, but they’ve routed the two major assaults that have been made. So far the planet is isolated but persisting.

The major powers of the galaxy watch with bated breath. The Republic is gridlocked with the ‘Diplomat’ political party advocating for patience and to see how the situation develops before jumping into immediate action. So far the Wyld Empire has not targeted any Republic assets that would require a response in kind. The ‘War Hawk’ party, made infamous by the betrayal of Ambassador James Hawken over Ord Biniir, have been gaining power as they advocate for the protection of system sovereignty in Wild Space.

Meanwhile, the Fel Empire has been silent. The Empress still missing in action from the public eye and her moffs still fighting over internal affairs.

For now it seems that the Jedi Order, who has been making diplomatic overtures to the independent systems of Wild Space, are the only saving grace for these people who are facing imminent subjection from an imperial-minded threat.

These images are being rebroadcast, but were originally broadcast live from the Capital City of Alzoc III just hours ago. A surprise attack by a well-coordinated military force overtook local security forces with relative ease and now the planet appears to be occupied for all intents and purposes.

Local security forces were given the cleared out former Jedi Enclave to use as their central base of operations. From what we understand, they’re hold out there currently in a brutal siege, hoping to hold out for reinforcements from somewhere.

We’re unsure about who is responsible for this attack or what their motivations are but- hold on. Breaking now as we speak… A new broadcast from Alzoc III since the planet’s holonet went dark, we’re patching it through now:

I am Iskrandeer, the Wyld King. My people have long lived in the dark expanse outside the rim of this galaxy. We’ve watched as the galaxy shapes and reshapes itself for generations. A cacophonous chaos that breeds contempt, death, and stagnation that they then pass onto their progeny who begin the cycle anew.

I will rectify this. I have taken your people to give them purpose, drive, meaning, and direction… Your generations who otherwise would have flitted aimlessly about their lives… Undirected, unutilized, unfulfilled… I’ve become their savior.

Your warriors of the Wyld cannot help you. They misunderstand the purpose of the power they’ve been given. They misunderstand their place in the Galaxy… But they will soon be reminded.

The Associated Presses have just released a detailed report updating the situation on the rampant abductions occurring across independent planets in the Wild Space sector.

A coordinated sting operation performed on Ryloth by GRID and Jedi operatives has resulted in the capture of a criminal cell of abductors tied to the slew of recent disappearances along the borders of Wild Space!

Details on the operation are still classified, but GRID has released a statement suggesting that the apprehended suspects have identified a third party as being responsible for coordinating multiple criminal and slaver syndicates that have been operating on these neutral planets for some time.

This statement corroborates previous reporting by the Associated Presses that several criminal organizations have been working together in order to coordinate abductions on this massive interplanetary scale.

There’s very little information about to whom these syndicates all report to. However, GRID did confirm Press questions about if these criminal organizations were tied at all to the Ravager pirates present in the Instrop sector in previous cycles. GRID officials replied that there is strong evidence to suggest a link, and that the third party facilitating collaboration between these criminals was also responsible for providing arms and equipment to the pirate gang there.

Republic officials are already debating next steps to try and be pre-emptive moving forward with this developing situation, but the neutral planets bordering Wild Space are universally dubious about Republic interference.

“The Republic likes to pretend their poodoo doesn’t stink. They enter neutral and independent systems like ours for any pretext, large or small, and then begin to argue that they need to impose changes on these planets due to corruption, or criminality, or so on. Look at their own democracy! They cannot even charge war criminals in a timely manner, nor can they stem the proliferation of criminality and corruption in their own senate! We will never allow such hypocrites to come into our system and infringe on our sovereignty.”

While most systems are not quite so aggressive with their statements about planetary sovereignty and rejection of Republic assistance, there’s generally unanimous consent and agreement on this point with border planets.

“The Republic has long used its military to project power far beyond its borders. As a planet based on inclusivity and peacefulness extended to all, the Republic’s brand of peacekeeping is abhorrent to our principals. They have shown time and again an inability to maintain peacekeeping forces without a military presence coming along hand-in-hand. We will not allow arms and weapons to set foot on our planet, nor will we facilitate violence on our soil. We reject all offers of the Republic for assistance on this matter.”
